The Reader Organisation is a charity dedicated to bringing about a reading revolution. For us, literature is a force for social good and personal change. Our mission is to bring books to life. This means great literature reaching all kinds of people, in all kinds of ways. Our aim is to be the UK’s leading practitioner of shared reading.
Bibby Line Group is a business-to-business services group involved in shipowning and operation, shallow water accommodation, offshore oil and gas services, contract logistics, financial services, memorial parks, employment law and health and safety advisory services, and retail. It is an organisation which embraces change, embodied in its ethos ‘continuing to evolve’.
Since June 2008, these two rather incongruous organisations have been working together with one common aim: to get books off library shelves and into the workplace. Essentially, The Reader Project is striving to encourage a culture of reading at work, in the hope that this will make work a better place to be.
